PARKING
The hotel parking garage entrance is located on Brazos Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets. Find it under the Hotel Alternate Parking (Convention Center) entrance on Brazos. Rates are $17 per vehicle for self-parking and $27 per vehicle for valet parking.
ATTIRE
What to wear, what to wear...
As with any Ovation gala, black-tie, cocktail, or traditional Asian attire are welcomed. For Ovation X, we encourage you to have some fun with it! Lean into the theme and come dressed in your vision for the future.
And remember - "futuristic" doesn't need to mean "cyber" or "digital." Maybe your vision for the future is organic and sustainable. Play with your own definition of what's to come!

We know it might not be the easiest thing to find appropriately "futuristic" clothing. If you're coming up short on ideas, we recommend starting with more traditional pieces and then taking your outfit into the future with accessories! Many inexpensive (and quickly-shipped) costume elements are available from major online retailers. Pick a few and layer them on to look like you just stepped out of the year 2032.

Mr. Khataw is the President & CEO of Encotech. He founded the firm in 1990 as a single person operation and has grown it to 30+ employees. He has 38 years of engineering experience, including extensive work in designing and managing numerous engineering projects. is the project principal for company projects.
Ali is very active in the community giving his time to more than a dozen non-profit and community organizations. He focuses his passion on bringing people from all walks of life together and giving back to the community. As a testament to his experience and his community involvement, Mr. Khataw was the recipient of the 2016 Engineer of the Year Award by the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), Travis Chapter, and in 2019 he was inducted to the University of Texas Cockrell School of Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni. Recently the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce named Ali as its 2023 board chair-elect; his post started on January 1, 2022.
His love of travel and his passion for photography led him to Photo Philanthropy. He regularly donates his photographs to auctions supporting local charities. The concept of his photography website is to encourage charitable contributions. Ali donates all proceeds from his photography to organizations dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others.
