Lifetime Achievement Award After earning his Electrical Engineering degree from University of Southern California, William Wang started MAG Innovision, followed by the purchase of Princeton Graphic Systems before launching VIZIO, Inc in 2002. Since then, VIZIO has grown to become #1 in Smart TVs, Large Size LCD and Sound Bar categories. William still serves as CEO and oversees VIZIO’s strategic direction. He is deeply committed to delivering visionary products at a great value.	Business of the Year Silicon Labs a leading provider of silicon, software and system solutions for the Internet of Things, Internet infrastructure, industrial control, consumer and automotive markets. With world-class engineering teams, Silicon Labs empowers developers with the tools and technologies they need to advance quickly and easily from initial idea to final product. Silicon Labs is a major contributor to the Austin economy and business community.	Emerging Business of the Year Korean born restauranteur Jae Kim started Chi'Lantro as a food truck business and has grown it into two brick and mortar restaurants. The Korean Mexican fusion menu is one of Austin's foodie favorites, best known for its kimchi fries and Seoul burritos. Despite being a young enterprise, Chi'lantro has many loyal fans and holds great promise for continued growth.
Global Entrepreneur Award Jialiang Wang founded the first privately owned kennel in China, Jialiang K-9 Kennel Shanghai in 1980 offering a full array of dog care services. Jialiang has become internationally for known for his highly trained security and bomb-sniffing dogs, which he provides to private and military clients around the world. He also operates the prestigious Shanghai Jialiang Equestrian Club which provides equine care and training services.	Economic Engine Ruvati USA is a manufacturer and distributor of high end stainless steel sinks, faucets, and accessories for kitchens and baths. This young company is owned by Mashfik Hossain, who has made major inroads into the competitive U.S. home improvement marketplace through his business philosophy of focusing on quality and design. Ruvati product lines can be found in major hardware stores, design showrooms and online stores and are recognized for their contemporary design and excellent quality.	Economic Engine TicketCity.com was founded by Randy Cohen and is a trusted source for tickets to more than 100,000 sports, concerts, and theater events around the world. Now celebrating 25 years in business with over 300,000 clients served, TicketCity.com continues to implement industry best practices, including e-tickets and interactive seating charts.
Economic Engine Whorton Insurance Services is an independent insurance agency located in Austin, TX with offices in Houston, San Diego and Los Angeles. Whorton provides insurance services for apartments, condo associations, office buildings, restaurants/quick-service, manufacturers, mobile food vendors, and construction companies, and is an active community partner in Austin's fast paced real estate marketplace.	Community Leadership Award Jamie Amelio is the founder of Caring for Cambodia (CFC) which supports 6,500 students in 21 schools in Cambodia. CFC provides students with well-equipped classrooms, local CFC-trained teachers, hot meals, uniforms, basic health/hygiene care, and often a bicycle. She was moved to create this charity after vacationing in Cambodia and visiting a poor school with dirt floors and few teachers. Her work has significantly improved the quality of life for many students.	Community Organization Award Asian American Students in America (A.S.I.A.) Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to the educational and cultural enrichment of Vietnamese Dual Language students. It offers leadership training, after school tutoring, martial arts, Asian music and dance programs, to promote Asian culture while providing career guidance to students. A.S.I.A. Foundation has touched the lives of thousands of Austin youth since 2000.
GAACC Member of the Year Sung Je Lee was an active member in 2014, attending events, volunteering for the GAACC Fall Classic and Ovation. A native of South Korea who grew up in Jakarta, he attended the University of Texas earning a BBA in International Business before obtaining his JD, MBA, and LLM in International Comparative Studies from St. Mary’s University. He is now an associate attorney practicing business and real estate law with The Fowler Law Firm.	Recognition of Service Award Rashed Islam was recognized for his contributions during his tenure as the 2013-2014 GAACC Chairman of the Board. He oversaw the hiring of GAACC's current executive director, its move to the current office location as well as the first awards gala in 2013.	Texas Asian Foundation Scholarships TAF provided scholarships to these deserving students: Lauren Poole, Esther Lee and Tran Nguyen.
